My name is Damien Rabaud, owner and strength coach of Strength Block. I’ve built a reputation for writing effective programs that make people strong and resilient, combining fundamental concepts of strength and conditioning training with a range of unique training protocols.

HOW IT WORKS
When you join Team Unkillable on the Strength Block App, you’re joining a team of people who are all running the same program at the same time. With your training delivered straight to the App every week, you’ll be training in the same training week as the rest of the team. This programming is dynamic, meaning that I’ll be writing blocks of training designed to build off the last one, ensuring continual progress, forever.

Be comfortable pushing the squat, bench and deadlift.
Have access to barbells, plates, a squat rack and other standard strength equipment.

What YOUR WEEK LOOKS LIKE
3 training days per week - These are the base days, but if you want to squeeze more days in you’re welcome to!
45-60 minutes per session - The program provides everything to cover all your bases and progress your strength, hypertrophy, and conditioning. It also suggests additional work if you’re really wanting to get after it
Progressive strength blocks - Unkillable is split into 4-6 week periodised training blocks to hit specific goals. Each block builds on from the last block, meaning the progress never stops.
Structured accessory work - I make the boring stuff interesting. For once, you won’t want to skip the accessories.
Built-in progression and overload - Just follow the instructions on the app and you have no choice but to progress.

Cookie-cutter training programs are a dime a dozen these days - especially with more and more people turning to Chat GPT to write a strength training program. I’m not gonna lie, this worried me at first, until I tried it myself and realised, well, it sucked. Big time.
It spits out generic, run-of-the-mill and BORING training programs.
You’re not a robot, so why listen to a robot for your training? - let alone one that’s never even stepped foot into a gym. It’s skipped every leg day, and we shouldn’t let that slide.
Training is a human experience. So let’s build a community of humans ready to get strong, support each other, talk a bit of smack and most importantly, have fun while doing so.

I’ve been a coach for a long time. Over the past 15 years I’ve experimented and researched a huge range of training protocols. My arsenal of tools to attack strength and conditioning training has allowed me to write effective programs to crush PBs while keeping my clients and athletes engaged with their training. Part of the reason for my diverse range of training styles is because I honestly believe that the best way to train long term is to actually enjoy the training. We embrace the challenge and use novelty to stay excited about showing up. Hard training isn’t supposed to be a chore.

Sometimes life happens - training doesn’t happen in a vacuum. There are going to be times when you’re going to miss training sessions. Because we’re training as a team, the program moves forward every week, but myself and the group can advise you if you need to adjust anything. We’re thinking long term here, not week by week, so sometimes things aren't going to go to plan!

The program is tailored to your personal numbers (mainly for the squat bench and deadlift) so it will scale to your strength ability. However, this is an intermediate program, which means you need to be comfortable with compound movements and training with a barbell.

This is general strength and conditioning training. Because my background is in powerlifting, there is a heavy emphasis on building the squat, bench and deadlift. However you’ll be introduced to a range of different strength of conditioning exercises and protocols including Strongman, bodybuilding, and olympic lifting.
